This was a pet effect of the famous three time F.I.S.M. World Champion Fred Kaps!
Place a number of white cards side by side on the table, ask a member of the audience to write his or her name on one of them and then turn all the cards upside down. Then ask him or her to collect the cards and shuffle them. While the spectator is doing this, you turn away or leave the room. When the cards are thoroughly shuffled you return to the table and place the cards side by side on the table again. Now you sign one of the cards. The card is turned over by the spectator and it is seen that it has the spectator's signature on it's back!
- No special pens, no marks on any card!
- The magician can even go outside the room!
- The spectator himself mixes/ shuffles the cards!
