A new treatment of the Cups and Balls effect, so clever it amazes and confuses even the experts! Four cups are shown, a ball placed in one of them, then the cups are slowly moved around. No matter how closely the spectators watch, they are always wrong! This new version is effective close-up and large enough for platform performances!
A totally different method from the classic Cups & Balls principle is used, with the cups placed mouth upwards!
Try to follow the ball but you can't, it disappears and then re-appears somewhere else! Easy to do, non-mechanical in operation and yet calling for NO sleight of hand or skill.
In the clever and amusing routine the audience are asked to place a wager on the whereabouts of the ball, but needless to say they are always wrong (unless you wish otherwise!). The climax is especially good and surprising.
Only three cups are used, a fourth one being placed to one side. Each cup is shown empty and the ball is dropped into one cup. The cups are slowly moved around. The first time (or whenever you wish) a spectator easily picks out the cup containing the ball but the second and third time he fails. The fourth time each cup is shown empty. The ball has gone and is discovered under the fourth cup.
This version is effective close-up and large enough for stand-up and platform performances.
The Ace, Deuce and three spot from a deck of cards can be used as markers for the cups, which are full-sized plastic beakers.
Cups and Balls Outdone comes with the four large prepared plastic cups and detailed Instructions. Use any standard 1.5″ (4cm) sponge balls.
The cups are about 4 inches (10,5 cm) high, with a diameter of approx. 3.14 inches ( 8 cm) at the top and 2.16 ( 5,5 cm) at the bottom. They perfectly fit to our other tricks with glasses.
